I really like the briefcase. Too bad that the weekender and backpack of the Barca collection was already sold out. I’m curious whether the zipper will last a long time as it’s a little hard to move. But we will see :-)

Excellent Briefcase
I am very pleased with this briefcase. It is solidly constructed, sturdy, and finished to a high standard. It’s comfortable to carry, looks great, and has already received several compliments. The only area for improvement would be the zipper, which feels slightly stiff and could operate more smoothly.

This is a short review of the Maverick & Co. “Manhattan Double-Zip Leather Briefcase”.
I didn’t knew much about Maverick & Co. and had advertisement seen for the smaller briefcase a while ago which sparked my interest and the briefcase did look very nice.
On Christmas Eve I decided to do me a favour and visited the website again to buy the larger version (more by mistake, than by choice, but it turned out to be a solid choice).
I went ahead and ordered the black/red version of the Manhattan Double-ZIP.
Having seen in mail communications an address in Hong Kong I was a bit sceptical at first on quality of the product.
However once received I was in for a surprise. First of all, the term express shipping on their website means what it says. I received the package only 4 days later after my order was fulfilled and I’m from Europe.
Secondly, the package was very premium, including the carry-handle the cardboard box had.
The briefcase also came with a large bag (see image number 1, the cream colored bag) that can be used in case you want to store it away for a longer period.
Quality of the briefcase is excellent. Both the leather and the internal fabric (?) that is red.
I couldn’t spot any sewing issues and the zip-ties also work well, albeit they have to be put in motion a few times so that they know, that they have to go to work now ;) But once done, all runs smooth.
I’m glad I went with the larger one, I’m sure the smaller one is just as great as this one, but for me the extra space meant a lot. I can easily fit all my daily items in there and a few extras I might find handy to have around with me all the time.
Leather strap is easily attached and fits well, but also the re-sizing of it, is very easy.
I went around the city with the bag at -4C celcius. Kept my stuff protected and didn't disappoint.
As this is leather you have to polish it ever so often. Collonil and it’s 1909 colorless is a great product to use to make the leather shine again like new. Otherwise for the black color you can try to find leather cleaning products that have black pigments in them, something like Siegol from Switzerland which restores the full color but does not change or overpaint it.
So the verdict for the product is:

- Premium Look and Premium materials
Can definitely recommend this product for anyone looking for a stunning briefcase with excellent quality.
5/5 points. Only a minor thing as idea: A hidden compartment or special attachment for a AirTag device would be cool, but as alternative I’m sure people will use the net inside to work around that.
